UTS Library Referencing Guide (Harvard)
This is the referencing system that is most widely used throughout the University.
UTS Bell Site
This guide provides instructions for the three most commonly used referencing systems for academic writing at UTS. These include the author and date systems in the Harvard and APA styles and the numerical Note system. This site can also assist you with writing assignments, group work and many other things.
UTS Library Services for Indigenous Students
UTS library offers the Baya Ng'ara Nura Learning Space for Indigenous students (you might need to book). The library also provides assistance with finding resources. The UTS Library website maintains online resources to assist students. Visit the information skills page to find out how to get assistance with finding information for your area of study. Visit the online tutorial page to develop your information search skills to use the Library's catalogue, databases and the Internet, and learn how to use different software like Word, PowerPoint, Dreamweaver, Excel etcetera. The Study Skills link will lead you to information on accessing information, academic speaking and writing, assignment writing guides, referencing guides and more. Subject guides provide a gateway to important information resources for your faculty.
Other UTS resources
ELSSA offers programs for academic English skills
All students undertaking a degree in English at UTS are eligible to use the ELSSA Centre (as are all UTS staff). In 2006, the Centre assisted over 3,500 students. One third of the students they assist have English as their first language.
UTS Student Services Counselling Service offers generic study skills counselling as well as specialised courses for students with Academic Caution.Other Academic Skills Links
