Originally from Coonababran, Richard has lived in Sydney most his life and now resides in Shoalhaven Heads.
Richard Grove has won the Milperra AECG Award, and was also the recipient of the best work by Aboriginal Artist in the shellharbour shire arts society.
In 2001, Richard was the winner of a national art competition that was run by Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning at the University of Technology, Sydney in search of a new logo for the centre.

The shield design in the centre symbolizes Jumbunna House shield offering protection, a good way to protect oneself from a possible bleak future is a sound Education.
