UTS accommodation
UTS has limited accommodation and you must apply for accommodation by filling in a form from the UTS Housing Service. Unfortunately UTS Housing Service does not offer accommodation for couples or families. If you will be residing with a partner whilst you are studying, accommodation could be arranged through other housing organisations such as Aboriginal Hostels Limited (open an external site), NSW Department of Housing and various Real Estate Agents. Another useful information on living in Sydney is provided by UTS.
There are currently three separate accommodation sites: Gumal Ngurang, Bulga Ngurra, Geegal. Apartments are furnished with a single or king single bed, desk chair in the bedroom with a longe area for all students to share. Students need to bring their own kitchen equipment, personal items and linen. UTS provide a cleaning service once a week for common areas. All residences are equipped to house students with disabilities, but it is best to mention this on application so Housing can organise the best options for each individual case.

Future residence
UTS is currently constructing a new 720 bed residence under the campus master plan which is estimated to be completed by December 2011.
Residential safety
UTS security guards patrol the residences (times) and student Residential Networkers are available at Gumal nightly to assist students.
Shuttle bus timetables
UTS provides a shuttle bus for UTS Housing Residents from 6.30pm - midnight Monday to Friday between Market, City campuses and the residences, the time table (PDF 120KB) is available for download.
There is also a shuttle bus for all UTS students between the Market, City and Kuring-gai campuses during the semester and non-semester period, which you can download (PDF 90KB).
